The 2025 25th Annual Commemorative Awards Banquet was a success! Each year, on April 4th the April 4th Foundation hosts an Annual Commemorative Awards Banquet where we honor men and women who promote excellence in the fields of economic justice and equality that Dr. King dreamed of.

This Banquet is open to the public and helps to raise funds for the Footsteps program.
​
FootSteps is designed to enlighten, empower, and educate youth ages 9 – 15 about the historical events surrounding the April 4, 1968, assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other pivotal moments in civil rights history. Since its inception, FootSteps, has educated and inspired thousands of City of Memphis youth through workshops, trips to historic civil rights locations and inspiring lectures with civil rights legends and their families. We're currently accepting applications and sponsors.
